Javier has a professional and academic profile that combines his scientific training and background with specific knowledge of the particular nature and issues of biotechnology companies.
Javier is a graduate of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid specializing in Genetics and also holds an MBA in Biotechnology from ALITER International Business School.
Following his graduation, Javier worked as a researcher in the Department of Parasitology at the University of Granada where he collaborated in several research projects in endozoonotic diseases in wild mammals and has made 15 publications in this area.
During the last five years Javier worked at the Genoma España Foundation as technical coordinator of economic studies in the biotechnology industry. Genoma España was created to promote the development of research in Genomics and Proteomics, boosting Spain's active participation in biotechnological advances. Javier developed a number of activities in Genoma, among which was the characterization and description of the scientific - technological and industrial environment in Spain with more than 11 publications. |
