Algenex specializes in the use of insects as small live bioreactors to produce recombinant proteins and to develop diagnostic, vaccine and therapeutic molecules. In most cases, our vaccines are tested in experimental animals in the case of human vaccines and in the final animal receptor species in the case of animal vaccines. Our protein products can be obtained at any required grade of purification by using conventional purification technologies currently used by the pharmaceutical industry.
Our business model contemplates alliances and joint ventures with companies that have the capability and interest in co-development of the products and/or have the regional or global market presence to successfully promote the products.
